The billing rate to each client company is based on a formula that includes all fixed costs such as employee wage, employer match of Social Security (FICA), employer match of Medicare, State Unemployment Tax (SUI), Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA), and Worker’s Compensation Insurance. The billing rate also includes the indirect costs of recruiting, screening and testing, reference checks, and processing of payroll checks, as well as quarterly and yearly payroll reports as required by the government.
Most importantly Personnel Preference accepts all the liability of being the legal employer of record including the processing of all UI or Worker’s Compensation claims.
As soon as you place an order with Personnel Preference, our search and recruitment efforts begin. Personnel Preference will get the details of the position from you so we can send the most qualified applicants for your needs. By clearly understanding your needs and the requirements of the position we can select the best candidates.
New clients will need to complete a minimal amount of paperwork including a credit application. Normally, the Client Services Coordinator will schedule an on-site walk through of your business in order to understand your needs more completely.
The time frame for successfully finding an employee for you is going to vary based on our current employee base and your specific needs. We are committed to sending the most qualified applicants. You may decide to do a personal interview of the top candidates or we can fill a position based on the qualifications you provide at the time you place the order.
Every applicant is reference checked based on the work history provided by the applicant. We have some clients which request a drug screen, driving record screen or criminal background check. Personnel Preference can provide these services as well as meeting any other needs you might have for background or security checks. These can be coordinated through our office for a fee.
We realize that not every job is a fit for every person and sometimes that is not clear until the person is working. Upon notification, Personnel Preference will replace a temporary who does not meet your performance standards and issue you four (4) hours of complimentary service on your next job order.
In addition, our temp-to-hire program provides an opportunity for you to see an employee in the work setting and determine if they are someone you want to hire.
